Savings Accounts:

Regular Share Accounts:

A share account is like a regular savings account. This is the basic account and makes you eligible for the other credit union products and services.   You earn competitive dividends.  The minimum balance is $5.00.  You earn dividends on all amounts in your account.  Dividends are calculated on the Average Daily Balance and are paid quarterly.

Share Drafts:

The share draft account is your checking account.  Unlike other financial institutions, there is no minimum balance or monthly maintenance fee.  In addition, your account earns a dividend calculated on the Average Daily Balance and paid monthly.

Share Certificates:

Increase your earnings on savings by investing in a share certificate for terms of 6, 12 and 36 months.  The minimum balance to open a share certificate is $1000.00.  The dividends are compounded and credited quarterly until maturity.  You can choose to post the  quarterly dividend to your certificate, your regular share account or sent directly to you.

Traditional IRA Account:

You can earn high dividends on an IRA account at the Ukrainian Selfreliance of Western Pennsylvania Federal Credit Union.  This account allows you to defer taxes on your earnings until withdrawal.  Contributions may be tax deductible in the year they are made.

Educational IRA Account:

Establish an account to help pay for a child's future post-secondary education.  These contributions and earnings are tax free when withdrawn to pay for qualified education expenses.  Contributions of $500 per year  are nondeductible, but distributions are penalty free and tax-free.  Dividends are the same as for traditional IRA accounts.
